Bring your sewing machine to the PS1 lounge at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, 3 September to get it running its best.

Do you have a sewing machine you rescued from a rummage sale but don’t know how to thread? or a machine that just isn’t running as well as you remember? Would you like to learn to do routine maintenance on your machine, or practice it somewhere you can ask for help if you get stuck? Then this is the event for you.

This is a public event, it is open to non-members.

I’m going to take a guess and say that this sewing machine maintenance is one of the best attractors that PS1 has had in my memory. I talk to more people that are interested in this topic than anything besides just knowing that a space like PS1 exists. Best part is that it interests people that are key influencers, like the folks that run Community Glue and Chicago Tool Library. Unlike most classes, it will continue to be an attractive event time after time. Keep it up!
